Job summary

Children’s Nebraska is seeking a qualified IT professional to design, test, implement, and maintain clinical IT applications across hospital and outpatient settings. You will research and fix system issues, collaborate with clinics, and support practice changes in the EMR environment.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in IT or related field (bachelor’s preferred) and Epic clinical application experience; EPIC certification within 9 months is required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required or experience may substitute.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Epic clinical application experience preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain EPIC certification within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, configure, test and maintain clinical IT applications to meet end-user needs.
• Research, analyze and correct system and user problems promptly; document resolutions.
• Maintain documentation of issues, resolutions and workflows as per policy.
• Build positive relationships with customers through effective communication.
• Participate on project teams to define requirements and improve workflows.
• Translate workflow requirements into efficient application solutions.
• Perform integrated testing of current and vendor functionality for EMR reliability.
• Assist with end-user training and development as needed.
• Participate in on-call and monthly maintenance activities.
• Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
