Shepherd Center in Atlanta seeks an experienced Epic Application Manager to lead the clinical and ancillary applications team, support Epic and related health systems, and drive optimization of the EHR environment.

The role blends people leadership with hands-on Epic expertise, balancing build, testing, upgrades, and production support while partnering with clinical operations and vendors. A mission-driven hospital culture supports growth and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Active Epic certification in at least one relevant Epic application required; multiple Epic certifications preferred.
• Minimum of three years of progressive healthcare IT, Epic application, clinical operations, ancillary operations, integration, analytics, or related healthcare technology experience required; five or more years preferred.
• Evidence of progressive leadership experience, including formal management, team lead responsibilities, project leadership, mentoring, or supervision.
• Experience managing or leading an Epic applications team; experience with Epic upgrades, Nova Notes, integrated testing, change control, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Epic Clinical/Ancillary Applications team, fostering a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment.
• Perform / oversee complex Epic build, configuration, validation, testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and maintenance.
• Lead and analyze workflow design, build decisions, integrated testing, issue resolution, and operational readiness.
• Build strong relationships with clinical leaders, ancillary departments, operational partners, analysts, end users, vendors, Epic, and Community Connect partners.
• Participate in Tier 2 on-call support rotation as needed.
