Job description

Under limited supervision, the ECSA I is responsible for configuring and managing systems that support the EPIC electronic health record application. The ECSA I primarily executes build and workflow integration tasks for client systems, supporting the EPIC applications group. Additionally, the ECSA I assists the ECSA II with administration and maintenance of the client systems server environment and may help build various client systems servers.

Education

Associate degree preferred in a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience

3-5 years of progressive experience in designing and deploying clinical information systems is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Windows server/desktop OS platforms is also preferred.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and maintain issue lists
  • Gather information about organizational needs to inform system build decisions
  • Maintain communication with EPIC representatives
  • Collaborate with EPIC and organizational teams to ensure system meets business needs
  • Analyze workflows, data collection, reports, and technical issues related to EPIC
  • Consider end-users' preferences during build decisions
  • Analyze business operations to guide build choices
  • Implement system changes and assist with monthly maintenance
  • Review and test new software releases
  • Gather and document system enhancement requirements
  • Assess data conversion needs
  • Ensure interface data meets business requirements
  • Document procedures for system changes
  • Follow naming, numbering, and security standards per EPIC guidelines
  • Adhere to change control procedures
  • Participate in training and troubleshoot end-user issues

Pay Range

$72,782.10 - $123,729.56

Final salary will depend on qualifications, education, experience, and organizational fit.
