Job summary

The Epic Application Manager for the Cadence team at Johns Hopkins Medicine leads the applications and workflows that connect patients with ambulatory care across our system. The portfolio includes Cadence, Referrals, Cheers CRM, and Hello World, with limited support for Prelude/Welcome workflows in partnership with other front-end teams.

You will lead a team of Application Analysts and Application Leads, coaching professional growth and translating clinical needs into coordinated Epic

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Required)
Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, healthcare IT, or clinical environment with leadership/mentorship responsibilities (Required)
Experience configuring, supporting, and optimizing Epic Cadence scheduling workflows (Strongly preferred)
Experience with ambulatory operations or EpicCare Ambulatory is valuable
Experience supporting Epic Referrals, Cheers CRM, or Hello World; Prelude/Welcome familiarity beneficial
Ability to coach and develop Application Analysts and Leads; strong communication with physician leaders and teams

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Application Analysts and Application Leads, fostering technical expertise and professional growth.
Collaborate with physician leaders, Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, and Health IT managers to translate clinical needs into coordinated Epic solutions.
Drive improvements in patient access and operational outcomes using data and performance measures.
Evaluate and adopt emerging Epic capabilities, including AI and predictive analytics, to improve patient and staff experiences.
