Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a skilled Epic Cadence/Grand Central specialist to support scheduling and patient access workflows across ambulatory environments.

You will analyze requirements, implement configurations, test changes, and assist in go-live events while ensuring data integrity and compliance with best practices.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Epic Cadence and/or Grand Central modules.
  • Strong understanding of patient access, scheduling, registration, referrals, and resource management workflows.
  • Experience in Epic build, configuration, testing, and support activities.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations and revenue cycle touchpoints.
  • Ability to gather requirements and work directly with business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and support Epic Cadence and Grand Central applications.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into Epic workflow solutions.
  • Build and maintain scheduling templates, appointment rules, provider schedules, and resource calendars.
  • Support patient registration, check-in/check-out, referrals, and appointment management processes.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams for enhancement initiatives and issue resolution.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and deployment activities for upgrades and new functionality.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely support to end users.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation, workflows, and knowledge articles.
  • Participate in change management, go-live support, and optimization activities.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and Epic best practices.

Job Summary
  • Support Epic Cadence and Grand Central application build, maintenance, enhancements, and optimization activities.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into Epic scheduling and patient access solutions.
  • Configure and maintain appointment scheduling, provider templates, referrals, registration, and patient access workflows.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and implement sustainable resolutions.
  • Participate in requirement gathering, workflow analysis, system design, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support application upgrades, integrated testing, regression testing, and go-live events.
  • Collaborate with Ambulatory, Prelude, Referrals, MyChart, and Revenue Cycle teams to support end-to-end patient workflows.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, build documentation, test scripts, and training materials.
  • Provide operational support and recommend process improvements to increase scheduling efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, governance processes, and change management procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Epic Cadence Certification.
  • Active Epic Grand Central Certification (preferred).

  • Knowledge of healthcare operational workflows and scheduling best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile and ITIL environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Cadence Certification and/or Epic Grand Central Certification.
  • Experience supporting multi‑facility healthcare environments.
  • Exposure to Prelude, Referrals, MyChart, or Revenue Cycle workflows.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability and integration concepts.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $ 82,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $ 138,000 per year

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance‑based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need‑based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
