Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in King of Prussia, PA, seeks a Sr. Application Analyst – Epic Professional Billing to lead advanced Epic Billing implementations and provide application support across facilities.

This role coordinates planning, design, testing, training, go‑live, and ongoing support with cross‑functional teams and vendors. You will mentor staff, ensure project standards are followed, and help optimize billing workflows while maintaining documentation and service levels

Qualifications

Five or more years of Information Systems experience in acute care or Ambulatory, multi‑facility setting.
Working knowledge of information system application design, development, implementation, enhancement, support methods and practices.
Comprehensive working knowledge of clinical and/or appropriate operational application analysis, design, build, deployment and modification as well as troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to work with end users to determine software specifications, hardware requirements, and process improvement workflows.
Ability to create system documentation, project plans, test scripts and education materials.
Working knowledge of project management methodology and IS standards, change control, quality, and system performance methods and metrics.
General familiarity of end user business practices, concepts, and terminology sufficient to support the clinical and/or appropriate operational applications.
Ability to transfer knowledge and mentor team members.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

System Implementation: Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications.
System Implementation: Provides advanced design solutions for applications and prepares the appropriate documentation.
System Implementation: Supervises development of test data, system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle.
System Implementation: Performs Q/A on application functionality.
System Implementation: Researches and resolves implementation‑related Customer Support Center Tickets.
System Implementation: Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.
System Implementation: Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management.
System Implementation: Oversees the training of users in operating procedures for application.
System Implementation: Provides support and project direction to UHS entities as needed.
System Implementation: Recommends and implements controls and procedures to protect UHS assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction.
System Maintenance/Support: Researches and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets including major application upgrades.
System Maintenance/Support: Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies.
System Maintenance/Support: Provides on‑call support as scheduled.
System Maintenance/Support: Establishes and maintains regular communications with user community.
Administration and Oversight: Effectively trains analysts in performance of their duties as required.
Administration and Oversight: Provides technical support and guidance to other team members as required.
Administration and Oversight: Maintains Service Excellence principles.
Administration and Oversight: Prepares and promptly submits all routine and special reports.
Administration and Oversight: Interviews applicants for vacant positions as needed using appropriate interview techniques.
Administration and Oversight: Contributes to performance evaluation of less experienced staff members as needed.
Administration and Oversight: Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.
Administration and Oversight: Performs other tasks as required by management.
