Job summary

IU Health is seeking an Epic BI Developer to design and deliver reliable BI solutions. The role emphasizes building reports and dashboards in Epic Cogito and SlicerDicer, translating business needs into technical specs, and ensuring data quality across Epic modules.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of BI experience, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with Cogito, SlicerDicer, and Caboodle, with a willingness to travel to sites in Central Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience required.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Epic BI tools: Cogito, SlicerDicer, Caboodle.
• Healthcare domain knowledge helpful; travel to sites may be required.
• Epic certification(s) desirable; onboarding support provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support decision‑making.
• Translate business questions into technical reporting solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, performance, and usability with data modeling and query optimization.
• Design interactive dashboards in Epic Cogito and SlicerDicer; optimize visualizations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify needs and reporting approaches.
• Provide training to end users on reports and self‑service tools.
• Maintain documentation and ensure governance standards.
