Job summary

East Hawaii Medical Group in Hilo, Hawaii seeks a Business Intelligence Developer to design, build, and optimize the Epic EHR analytics suite. You will develop data models, prepare reports, and collaborate with clinical, operational, billing, and leadership teams to enable data-driven decisions.

The role focuses on Epic Chronicles, Clarity, Caboodle, and SQL; you will create data cubes, validate reports, and support system upgrades.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in data analytics, reporting, or supporting data systems.
• At least two years of direct Epic/EHR support in healthcare preferred.
• Cogito BI Developer certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Epic implementation, upgrades, and system builds for clinical/operational needs.
• Develop analytics content using Epic Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.
• Write SQL, develop data cubes, extracts, and BI tools.
• Validate reports and test environments and volumes.
• Provide training, maintain docs, and collaborate with SMEs.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security enhancements.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary projects and manage milestones.
