Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to lead advanced reporting, analytics, and visualization across Epic Beaker and BI platforms. The role partners with clinical and operations teams to translate complex data needs into actionable insights.

The BID will design self‑service analytics, develop training materials, and help standardize reporting practices. Onsite work with collaboration across UCSF Health and affiliated hospitals is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area.
• 5–7 years of related experience.
• Expertise on EHR application(s) and knowledge of data collection/storage.
• High proficiency with EHR reporting tools and BI tools (Tableau, SAP Universe, Crystal Reports).
• Experience developing self-service analytic tools using Slicerdicer/Tableau.
• Knowledge of Beaker and clinical informatics concepts.
• Strong communication and training-materials development skills.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize EHR reporting, data analysis, and visualization solutions across Epic and BI platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design data needs and oversee analytics initiatives.
• Support Beaker analytic reporting for UCSF Health and affiliates across enterprise.
• Lead/participate clinical systems teams evaluating data and workflows.
