Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer – Epic BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain data models and dashboards using Epic tools (Clarity, Cogito, Caboodle, Slicer Dicer) and BI platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.

You will run SQL queries, build ETL processes with SSIS, and provide data-driven insights to clinical and revenue cycle teams. You will collaborate with EMR and Revenue Cycle Analysts to understand workflows, ensure data quality, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Epic certification/accreditation in Cogito and Clarity Data Model.
• 5+ years SQL programming with relational databases (procedures, design, admin).
• 5+ years BI tools and data models experience (BO, SAP Webi, SQL Server, Oracle).
• 5+ years Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito reporting tools (Workbench, Radar, Slicer Dicer).
• 5+ years healthcare or insurance operations experience preferred.
• Python or OO language experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data models for reporting and discovery tools.
• Follow SDLC, change control, release, and incident management.
• Leverage BI data models to drive reporting standards and quality.
• Collaborate with team manager, architects, and project managers.
• Handle change requests for reports and enhancements with high quality.
• Serve as Technical Lead for medium to large projects and mentor staff.
• Create Epic and Tableau dashboards to communicate key metrics.
