Position Overview

As an Epic Beaker - Application Analyst, you will work on software design, configuration, upgrades, and improvements for lab operations. You will be the primary support contact for application end-users, identify issues within the application and those impacting other teams, and collaborate on resolutions. Your role includes guiding workflow design, building and testing systems, and analyzing technical issues related to lab operations and business software.

We are seeking an analyst to support screening and precision oncology products.

Essential Duties

Include but are not limited to:

  1. Identify and implement requested system changes.
  2. Guide workflow design, system building, testing, and technical analysis.
  3. Serve as liaison between organizational needs and software vendor implementation teams.
  4. Maintain communication with the vendor and participate in weekly project meetings.
  5. Work with vendors, the business community, and end users to ensure system meets organizational needs regarding project deliverables and timelines.
  6. Understand operational needs to guide workflow development.
  7. Participate in training and support end users.
  8. Troubleshoot issues and questions.
  9. Support and track issues using designated systems.
  10. Review project and issue statuses with leadership.
  11. Hold regular team meetings to discuss deliverables, issues, and milestones.
  12. Support compliance with Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  13. Maintain regular attendance and work within business hours, including on-call, nights, and weekends as needed.
  14. Work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  15. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  16. Take ownership of work activities, ensuring they are completed accurately and timely.
  17. Proactively seek additional tasks and assist others.
  18. Communicate clearly with leadership, experts, and stakeholders.
  19. Persevere through challenging situations and meet high-performance standards under pressure.
  20. Willingness to learn new software applications.
  21. Use computers interactively for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
  22. Operate telephone, keyboard, and printer efficiently.
  23. Lift up to 10 pounds as needed.
  24. Work seated and standing approximately equally during the day.
  25. Work in front of a computer screen for most of the day.
  26. Comply with PPE requirements and travel approximately 5% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma.
  • 2+ years SME experience in areas like patient workflows, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry.
  • Ability to obtain relevant Epic certifications within 6 months.
  • Flexibility with changing business needs.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience configuring EHR systems or lab workflows.
