Job summary

University of Toledo seeks an EPIC Associate Application Analyst to work on Epic ambulatory, inpatient, and revenue-cycle systems. The role develops, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots Epic applications while supporting project design and deployment efforts.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or 4 years IT analyst experience and current Epic certification; exceptions apply for new certifications within three months as determined by leadership.

  • Four years of IT application analyst experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Current Epic certification in the relevant module(s) required at time of hire.
  • New certification obtained within three months if additional certification(s) are required.

Job Description:

The analyst will work on Epic ambulatory, ancillary, inpatient, orrevenue cycle healthcare applications systems to develop,implement, maintain, support, and troubleshoot healthcareapplications. Will participate in healthcare applications projectdevelopment, design and implementation, maintenance and problemsolving of healthcare applications issues. Provides customerservice to constituents.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university inhealthcare, public/business administration, computer science,information systems, or related field. Four (4) years of ITapplication analyst experience may be substituted for the degreerequirement.
  • Current Epic certification in the relevant module(s) required atthe time of hire and NEW certification obtained within three (3)months of appointment if requires additional certification(s)determined by Clinical Informatics Department leadership.

Experience Requirements:

  • Up to five (5) years of progressively responsible Epic experiencein a healthcare environment as an Epic technical support analyst,application analyst, or certified end user.
  • Participated in at least one (1) Epic new implementation or majoroptimization project.
  • Understanding of clinical workflows, documentation standards, andEpic application capabilities.
  • Experience in hospital or outpatient settings with exposure tointerdisciplinary collaboration.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations andterminology.
  • Basic knowledge of principles of healthcare applications, projectmanagement, and information systems.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technicalusers.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word,PowerPoint).
