• Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives and internal teams.
• Oversee weekly status meetings, milestones, budget, and resource planning.
• Own cross-application efforts spanning initiatives like continuity, cutover, and hospital outpatient modules.

Provide coordination, communication, and oversight for applications within an assigned area of the Epic system (includes Ambulatory, Willow Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, and Beacon) as well as direct management of the application analyst team. There are 7 analysts working reporting to this manager

Travel: ***Client would prefer someone within driving distance of Sterling, IL***, they’d like 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

• Provide coordination, communication, and oversight for applications within an assigned area of the Epic system (includes Ambulatory, Willow Ambulatory, Healthy Planet, and Beacon) as well as direct management of the application analyst team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Management

• Maintain the scope, schedule, and quality of the work in their specific application area or team in current and future systems.
• Set clear expectations for team members, including defining what they should do at each phase of projects, upgrades, and maintenance
• Work closely with the project director and other project and application managers to coordinate activities
• Ensure that the business community is engaged in the project
• Advise and coach team members by providing guidance on issues, key success factors, and lessons learned
• Share with team members the positive effects of innovation and system capabilities
• Reinforce the importance of the project together with the executives and the project director, and provide consistent communication to the team and operations
• Organize resources within the organization
• Motivate and show appreciation for the team
• Appropriately match team member skills to team responsibilities
• Manage the project from an organizational perspective while attending to detailed tasks

• Identify and troubleshoot issues
• Guide workflow design, build and testing of the system, and analyzing other technical issues associated with Epic software
• Serve as liaison between organizational needs and Epic staff
• Maintain regular communication with Epic representatives, including participating in weekly team meetings
• Work with Epic representatives, your organization's business community, and end users to ensure the system meets the organization's business needs regarding project deliverables and timeline
• Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows
• Participate in training and work with end users
• Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership
• Hold weekly communications with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end‑user concerns, budget, and upcoming milestones
• Own integrated efforts that span multiple applications such as Business Continuity Access, Cutover, Hospital Outpatient Departments, etc.
