iMethods is seeking a Senior Epic Ambulatory Analyst to join a long-term Epic application support team. This individual will contribute to a new Epic implementation and and application maintenance, optimization, and production support. The Senior Epic Ambulatory Analyst will collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to design, configure, test, implement, and support effective Epic Ambulatory solutions. This is a hybrid position requiring up to 25% travel for project activities, testing, go-live preparation, deployment, stabilization, and other organizational needs. The analyst must also be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including occasional evening, weekend, and holiday support.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all phases of the Epic implementation lifecycle, including discovery, workflow validation, design, build, testing, training support, go-live readiness, deployment, and stabilization.
- Configure and implement Epic Ambulatory functionality based on approved clinical and operational requirements.
- Facilitate workflow discussions with clinical leaders, providers, operational stakeholders, and subject-matter experts.
- Translate clinical and business requirements into scalable, sustainable Epic solutions.
- Complete assigned application build, testing, documentation, and implementation activities within established timelines and quality standards.
- Develop and execute unit, integrated, regression, and user-acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with other Epic application, integration, reporting, security, and technical teams to manage system dependencies.
- Support go-live preparation, command-center activities, issue triage, and post-live stabilization.
- Provide ongoing maintenance, production support, and optimization for Epic Ambulatory and related clinical workflows.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents, service requests, and system issues.
- Perform application upgrades, enhancements, system maintenance, and associated testing.
- Review Epic release notes and Nova documentation to evaluate new functionality and recommended changes.
- Assess enhancement requests and recommend solutions based on operational needs, system standards, and technical feasibility.
- Monitor application performance and identify opportunities to improve usability, efficiency, and end-user satisfaction.
- Maintain application documentation, build records, workflow diagrams, testing scripts, and support procedures.
- Participate in application governance, change-control, and release-management processes.
- Provide knowledge transfer, guidance, and mentorship to junior analysts and other team members.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide after-hours support when assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- More than five years of hands-on experience with Epic Ambulatory application build, implementation, maintenance, and production support.
- Current Epic Ambulatory certification.
- Experience participating in at least one Epic implementation or significant application deployment.
- Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows, provider workflows, and related Epic integration points.
- Experience with Epic application configuration, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and optimization.
- Ability to independently manage complex assignments, competing priorities, and issue resolution.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience developing and maintaining application, testing, and support documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Epic Healthy Planet certification.
- Experience supporting Healthy Planet, population health, care management, or Compass Rose workflows.
- Additional Epic certifications related to ambulatory or integrated clinical applications.
- Experience supporting Epic upgrades, optimization initiatives, and post-live stabilization.
- Experience working within a healthcare system that includes multiple hospitals, clinics, or physician practices.
- Experience mentoring junior analysts or serving as an application subject-matter expert.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, healthcare administration, clinical informatics, business, or a related field.
