Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate in Atlanta seeks an Application Coordinator to lead the design, build, testing, validation, and support of Epic clinical and revenue cycle applications. The role includes achieving Epic certification and maintaining expert knowledge of workflows to implement on the system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or current clinical licensure in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, or related field.
• In lieu of degree or licensure, four years of experience in business administration, information technology or healthcare.
• 3 years of healthcare or IT experience including at least one year with EMR applications.
• One year with Epic applications in a clinical or IS setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, validate, and provide ongoing support for clinical and/or revenue cycle applications.
• Obtain and maintain Epic certification; understand workflows to implement on the system.
• Be on-call periodically on a 24/7 basis for tier III Epic support.
• Collaborate with clinical/financial representatives to design future-state workflows and build the system accordingly.
