Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking an Application Coordinator to design, build, test, and support Epic clinical/revenue cycle applications. The role requires Epic certification, deep workflow knowledge, and periodic on-call support to ensure system reliability.

You will collaborate with clinical and financial teams to design future-state workflows, implement approved configuration changes, and maintain critical business relationships across Piedmont stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or clinical licensure in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory or related field is required.
• In lieu of degree or licensure, four years of healthcare/IT/related experience is required.
• Three years of healthcare or IT experience, including one year EMR application experience, required.
• In lieu of degree or licensure, seven years of healthcare/IT experience with EMR is required.
• One year working directly with Epic applications in a clinical or IS field is preferred.
• Current Epic certification is required.
• Epic proficiency must reach a score of 90 and is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, validate, and support clinical and/or revenue cycle applications.
• Obtain and maintain Epic certification and knowledge of workflows.
• Be on-call periodically 24/7 to provide tier III Epic support.
• Implement configuration changes to the Epic system as approved by committees.
• Collaborate with clinical/financial representatives to design future-state workflows.
• Build and maintain relationships with Piedmont coworkers, physicians and system users.

Education

Bachelor's degree or clinical licensure (nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory)

4+ years healthcare/IT or related experience (in lieu of degree/licensure)

3 years healthcare/IT with EMR experience

7 years healthcare/IT with EMR experience (in lieu of degree/licensure)

1 year Epic apps experience (preferred)
