Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Application Coordinator to design, build, test, validate, and support Epic clinical and revenue cycle applications. This role requires Epic certification and deep knowledge of workflows, with periodic on-call responsibility for tier III support.

The position emphasizes collaboration with clinical and financial departments to design future-state workflows and ensure seamless Epic operation across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or current clinical licensure in nursing, radiology, pharmacy, respiratory or related field required.
• In lieu of degree, four years of experience in business administration, information technology or science, healthcare or related field required.
• Three years of healthcare or IT experience, including one year EMR application experience required.
• Seven years of healthcare or IT experience, including one year EMR experience required.
• One year working directly with Epic applications is preferred.
• Current Epic certification required or Epic proficiency with a score of 90 required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, validate, and provide ongoing support for clinical and/or revenue cycle applications.
• Obtain and maintain Epic certification and deepen knowledge of software functionality and workflows.
• Provide 24/7 tier III on-call support for Epic applications.
• Implement configuration changes to Epic as approved by committees.
• Collaborate with clinical/financial department representatives to design future-state workflows and build the system accordingly.
• Maintain relationships with Piedmont co-workers, physicians, and others who use the Epic application suite.
