Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an entry level HSIR team member to support and optimize mission-critical Epic infrastructure and related systems. You will work with moderate oversight to ensure reliable performance of Epic MyChart, Printing, Interconnect, Telemedicine, and related tools.

The role emphasizes workflow support, troubleshooting, and project participation, with opportunities to grow competency in healthcare IT and system maintenance.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science or other field
• HIT: Health Information Technology certification upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide workflow assistance, trouble-shooting and support for mission critical HSIR systems with assistance.
• Provide on-call after-hours support.
• Develop and maintain competency on pertinent applications and technologies within a specified timeframe.
• Participate in system maintenance by using analytical skills for issue resolution, enhancement development, project participation and version upgrades with oversight.
• Follow change management procedures for any system changes.
• Assist in testing of new applications and changes to existing applications ensuring data integrity and quality while providing training of system users.
• Assist in developing appropriate process/policy documentation.
• Manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously with guidance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
