Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an entry-level IT professional to support and optimize mission-critical HSIR systems. You will assist with Epic applications, infrastructure, and related integrations, working with a small team in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include on-call coverage, documentation, testing of changes, and adherence to change-management procedures in a healthcare IT setting. A Bachelor's degree and HIT-related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business administration, computer science, or related field required/strongly preferred.
• HIT certification or Health Informatics Technology certification upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide workflow assistance, trouble-shooting and support for mission critical HSIR systems with assistance.
• Provide on-call after-hours support.
• Develop and maintain competency on pertinent applications and technologies within a specified timeframe.
• Participate in system maintenance by utilizing analytical skills for issue resolution, enhancement development, project participation and version upgrades with oversight.
• Follow change management procedure for any system changes.
• Assist in testing of new applications and changes to existing applications ensuring integrity and quality of data while providing and/or assisting in training of system users.
• Assist in developing appropriate process/policy documentation.
• Manage multiple tasks/work on multiple projects simultaneously with guidance.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, computer science or other field
