UAB Medicine is expanding its Health System Information Services (HSIS) team to guide Epic strategy, innovation, and support across the organization. Preferred candidates have Epic experience with certification achievable within 12 weeks of training and limited testing attempts.

The role focuses on establishing requirements, technical standards, and partnerships to ensure secure, reliable IT systems that support high‑quality patient care and efficient business operations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is required.
• Epic certification in area of support or certification obtained within 12 weeks of Epic training with no more than two testing attempts.

Aufgaben

• Creates frameworks for planning, designing and documenting system functionality and changes.
• Sets standards and best practices to ensure work quality meets customer needs.
• Fosters collaboration for system changes and issue resolution among stakeholders.
• Mitigates systemic risk through build processes, system analysis and monitoring.
• Assists with roadmaps for system functionality and timelines for major projects.
• Leads projects across teams to determine the most appropriate technical strategy.
• Serves as a technical expert on system development, data management and support.
• Maintains accountability to support quality and patient safety aligned with priorities.
