Position Type: Full-Time/Permanent
Schedule: 2 Days a Week Onsite
Description:
• The Epic Analyst - Hospital Billing serves as a business liaison for assigned departments to ensure that healthcare information system applications function efficiently.
• This position focuses on resolving software issues, supporting daily operational needs, leading the design and implementation of new systems, and providing application training and documentation.
• The analyst plays a critical role in maintaining and advancing healthcare information systems (HIS), providing 2nd/3rd level support during unplanned downtimes, and supporting various project initiatives that improve clinical and financial operations.
Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience supporting clinical or financial healthcare information systems.
• Strong experience with the implementation and support of healthcare applications within hospital environments.
• Expertise in healthcare business processes and related healthcare IT applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application, interface, and reporting issues.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Visio or Microsoft Project.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills:
• Experience supporting Epic or similar healthcare applications.
• Certification in relevant healthcare software modules or ability to obtain certification within six months of employment.
• Experience with healthcare IT project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of application migration planning, design, and execution.
• Vendor management experience within healthcare IT environments.
• Familiarity with IT service desk processes and escalation management.
