Job summary

Carilion Clinic is seeking an Epic Application Analyst III-Ambulatory to analyze Epic design and workflows, manage projects, and lead design sessions with stakeholders. This role supports Epic and integrated third-party apps across the organization.

The position requires 4+ years of related experience, an associate degree or equivalent, and multiple Epic certifications. The role includes on-call rotation, some travel, and flexible scheduling within a hybrid/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business or 2 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Maintains 3 vendor and/or industry certifications; must maintain Epic module proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conducts intermediate to advanced analysis of Epic application design and system workflows.
• Independently manages projects and ensures timely delivery.
• Leads requirements gathering and facilitates design sessions with stakeholders.
• Translates business needs into system solutions with minimal supervision.
• Maintains documentation and knowledge resources for Epic and integrated third-party apps.
• Mentors analysts and shares knowledge across the team.
• Acts as liaison across Epic modules and stakeholders.
• Participates in an after-hours on-call rotation and occasional travel.
