Overview
The Epic Ambulatory Analyst supports the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the EpicCare ambulatory application. The analyst is responsible for design, build, and troubleshooting related to the application. This role partners with clinical and operational teams across outpatient, urgent care, orthopedics, eye care, and pediatric services as well as IT teams to ensure modules meet clinical needs, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates closely with clinical and operational teams across outpatient, urgent care, orthopedics, eye care, and pediatric services to gather requirements and translate them into effective system configurations.
- Configure and optimize EpicCare Ambulatory, Urgent Care, and specialty workflows including scheduling, documentation, orders, and billing.
- Demonstrate knowledge of physician practice, hospital outpatient, and patient experience workflows to inform system design and optimize clinical practice.
- Leverage broad knowledge of system integration points to work collaboratively across specialties to ensure cohesive workflows between scheduling, lab, radiology, billing, and inpatient clinical modules.
Requirements
- 3+ years of Epic Ambulatory experience
- Prior Epic implementation experience is preferred
- Required Certification: EpicCare Ambulatory
- Preferred Certifications (already have, or willing to obtain): BONES, Kaleidoscope, CareEverywhere, EpicCare Link, Orders
