Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking an Access Design Specialist in Richmond to translate specialty workflows into Epic Cadence configurations and self-scheduling logic. You will collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure accurate build requirements and governance.

The role involves analyzing current scheduling workflows, designing Decision Trees and Fast Pass configurations, and validating builds pre-go-live.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management or related field.
Two (2) plus years of Epic Cadence design, build, and implementation experience.
Experience with provider template optimization and workflow configuration is preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct scheduling workflow analysis to identify improvement opportunities aligned with ambulatory access goals.
Partner with access leaders and specialty teams to evaluate workflows and scheduling logic.
Design, modify, and maintain Decision Trees, Fast Pass, and self-scheduling configurations.
Translate operational workflows into Epic build requirements with IT analysts.
Review and validate Epic builds pre-go-live for operational readiness.
Monitor post-implementation metrics and recommend refinements.
Maintain documentation for design work, approvals, and templates.
Prioritize and sequence design work with program leads and optimization specialists.
Identify and mitigate project issues and provide escalation when needed.
