Job summary

VCU Health in Virginia is seeking an Access Design Specialist to translate ambulatory access needs into Epic Cadence configurations. You will partner with clinical and IT teams to design decision trees, self-scheduling, and Fast Pass workflows that improve access and patient experience.

The role requires 2+ years of EPIC Cadence design and build experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two (2) plus years of EPIC Cadence design, build, and implementation experience.
• Provider template optimization, Visit Type, department and provider build experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduling workflow analysis to align with ambulatory access goals.
• Design, modify, and maintain Decision Trees, Fast Pass, and self-scheduling configurations.
• Translate operational workflows into EPIC build requirements with IT collaboration.
• Review and validate EPIC builds pre-go-live for alignment with operational intent.
• Monitor post-implementation metrics and refine as needed.
