Job summary

ESPO Corporation seeks an Assistant Construction Manager for a 12 month contract based in Akron, OH. The role supports the Construction Project Manager and EPC team across diverse industries, handling safety, quality, schedule, cost control, procurement, and documentation.

The candidate will assist in plan development, permits, bid support, change management, and field progress tracking, while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in construction-related field and 3 years of relevant construction experience required.
• Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Management to build client relationships and interface for proposals and project items.
• Support development of risk reviews and coordinate with Legal as needed.
• Develop and implement Project Execution, Quality, Safety, and Procurement Plans.
• Assist in negotiating and executing prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
• Develop site mobilization/demobilization plans and support field teams.
• Coordinate permitting processes and registration/pre-qualification efforts.
• Prepare RFPs, assist scope development, and draft contract documents for subcontractors and clients.
• Support drawing releases, design changes, and contract administration including RFIs and submittals.
• Assist cost reporting, scheduling, WBS, and project closeout activities.
• Prepare information for status reports, risks, and cash flow discussions with stakeholders.
