Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in US-AZ-Phoenix is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support the Construction Project Manager and EPC leadership, coordinating safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, and field activities across diverse projects.

This role partners with site teams to manage documentation, procurement, RFPs, invoicing, risk reviews, and project turnover, while ensuring compliance with safety and QA plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Project Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, and EPC Project Manager with day-to-day management of safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.
• Coordinate and assist in development and implementation of project plans, QA and safety plans, subcontracting, staffing, and procurement.
• Prepare RFPs, support scope development, bid processes, contract documents, and subcontractor selection and awards.
• Support project cost reporting, scheduling, and progress tracking; report status to stakeholders and distribute meeting minutes.
