Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Construction Coordinator to support EPC projects, focusing on safety, quality, schedule, and cost control while interfacing with clients and subcontractors across multiple industries.

The role includes developing project plans, managing documentation, and coordinating with project teams on procurement, proposals, estimates, turnover, and field activities. It requires a 4-year degree in construction management or engineering and strong corporate reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering or a related field is required or applicable experience may substitute.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to meet driving requirements and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and assist others with compliance.
• Assist the Project team in building client relationships and interfacing with the client on proposals and project items.
• Assist the Project Management team with prime and downstream contracts and change orders.
• Help develop and implement the Project Execution Plan, QA Plan, Safety & Health plan, and other project plans.
• Assist with jobsite setup activities, mobilization, and demobilization.
• Coordinate bidder registrations and pre-qualification efforts for suppliers/subcontractors.
• Assist with RFP package development, bid processes, and scope of work documents for downstream contracts.
• Assist with contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management, and claims mitigation.
• Support project controls: cost reporting, scheduling, WBS, project setup and closeout in ERP, and field progress tracking.
• Develop internal and external reports: budgeting, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and status reports.
• Participate in project, corporate, and risk review meetings; present when needed and record meeting minutes.
• Conduct project safety, quality, progress and financial audits and assessments.
• Assist with invoicing processes for prime contracts, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Maintain project documentation and filing systems; turnover documentation and retention.
• Assist with onboarding of craft/field supervision and analyze labor costs and classifications.
