Job summary

Hanwha Qcells USA Corp in Houston, TX is seeking a Contracts Manager to support legal and EPC teams in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts related to solar EPC projects. This full-time, on-site role reports to the Sr. Contracts Manager and includes travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance, coordinating internal reviews, and maintaining contract templates. Strong communication and legal terminology skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant certificate from college or technical school.
• 3+ years relevant experience (construction, energy industry preferred).
• Background in commercial construction, equipment supply, and/or engineering contracts.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and processes.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, computer fluency, agile and effective negotiator with clear oral and written explanations required.
• Work experience in construction related contracts (solar PV and BESS projects in particular) strongly preferred.
• Self-motivated, superior organization skills and attention to detail.
• Assertive, ability to cope with dynamic surroundings.
• The ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues and activities.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and Procore.

Responsibilities

• Support the Legal team on all issues arising during the drafting, negotiating and managing EPC contracts.
• Review, interpret, and assist with negotiations of contract documents to determine obligations.
• Ensure contract compliance by developing compliance trackers for delivery to execution teams.
• Drive contract execution process by managing internal and external workflows, meetings, and progress updates.
• Compile contracts, track document and exhibit revisions, and other related tasks.
• Coordinate with legal and EPC commercial teams to ensure comments reflected in latest revisions.
• Review contracts for accuracy and consistency with templates and guidelines.
• Assist with establishing internal processes for contract management between Legal and EPC teams.
• Assist with updating contract templates.
• Regular attendance as per policy; perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
