Job summary

CenterPoint Energy, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor, Capital Projects Contracts to lead contract management for EPC projects, negotiate terms, and partner with Legal, Finance, and Owners Engineer teams.

The role focuses on ensuring successful delivery of complex capital initiatives and managing commercial risk. The position requires deep experience in EPC contracting, +5 years in post‑award management, and a track record negotiating high‑value agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8–10+ years in capital projects and EPC contracting.
• 5+ years leading post‑award management of prime EPC, DesignBuild, or EP/Cm contracts.
• Experience managing contracts worth >$100M.
• Strong negotiation and supplier governance experience.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own prime EPC master agreements and Project Scopes: develop and manage execution of key contract Scopes and related exhibits for each project.
• Negotiate and administer EPC contracts, including MSAs and subcontracts.
• Lead contract negotiations, change or claims management and dispute resolution.
• Provide strong commercial support to project controls and legal to mitigate risk.
• Monitor contract performance and drive closeout activities.
