Job summary

Strobel Energy Group in Billings, MT seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead standalone EPC projects up to $50M, coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction while serving as the primary client contact.

You will drive safety culture, quality plans, risk management, and schedule adherence, mentor team members, manage subcontractors, and report project status to stakeholders on a regular cadence. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a construction project manager in industrial or mechanical construction.
• Successful management of up to 4 direct reports.
• Full-time salaried position with schedule variability (45–50 hours/week).
• Travel typically up to 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall project leadership, planning, communication, and coordination across internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Own project financials and evaluate costs/benefits for informed decision making on risks and opportunities.
• Define project organization, roles, and resource requirements; adjust as needed through the lifecycle.
• Lead meetings with clients and Strobel teams; communicate status, risks, and outcomes.
• Coach and mentor team members; manage performance and HR-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contract requirements; read/drawings.
• Oversee schedule development and management using Primavera P6; manage safety, quality, and documentation.
