Job summary

Boston Medical Center's Electrophysiology Registered Nurse role is part of a multidisciplinary EP Lab team. You will assess patients, administer meds, monitor hemodynamics, and assist with EP and device implant procedures, including pre- and post-procedure care and family teaching.

You will help ensure smooth patient flow, maintain records, and participate in quality improvement projects. Licensure in MA, BLS, ACLS where required, and 2 years in cardiology or critical care are needed; EP

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification required in certain units.
• Nursing degree (Diploma/ASN/BSN) with willingness to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Two years of RN experience in cardiology procedural areas or critical care.
• EP experience and moderate sedation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care in the EP/Perioperative setting.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate and educate patients.
• Coordinate with health care team and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data; support quality improvement.
• Follow nursing standards and contribute to patient and family teaching.
