Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II for the EP Lab at Union Memorial Hospital. The role involves administering contrast media, assisting in catheterization procedures, and ensuring patient safety before, during, and after interventions.

The candidate will manage supplies, records, and on-call emergencies, with ARRT certification and Maryland licensure. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for a limited time.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology (2 years).
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Radiology Technologist license in Maryland.
• ACLS certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures in the EP Lab.
• Administer contrast media during cardiac catheterization as directed by a Cardiologist.
• Ensure patient management before, during, and after procedures and monitor vitals.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and records; handle RIS/hospital computer documentation.
• Operate imaging equipment and assist with procedures as first assistant to the physician.
• Attend to on-call emergencies as per department policy and ensure patient discharge instructions.

Education

AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology

2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology

Interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization

ARRT certification or registration

Maryland Radiology Technologist license

ACLS certification or eligibility
