Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II for the EP Lab at Union Memorial Hospital. The role performs angiographic and interventional procedures and manages patients before, during, and after the procedure.

A limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Candidates should have an AMA-approved radiologic technology program (2 years), Maryland radiology license, ARRT certification, ACLS, and experience in interventional radiology or cardiac catheterization.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program of at least 2 years.
• 2 years of diagnostic radiology experience.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization or equivalent.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Maryland Radiology Technologist license.
• ACLS certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast media during cardiac catheterization under Cardiologist direction.
• Acts as first assistant to the physician, scrubbing and aiding with guide wires and catheters.
• Maintains patient flow and records; ensures inventory and supplies.
• Operates imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Pre- and post-procedure duties including patient education and discharge instructions.

AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology (2 years)

ARRT certification

Radiology Technologist license – State of Maryland

ACLS certification or eligibility
