Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Cardiac Intervention Technologist II to join the EP Lab team at Union Memorial Hospital in Maryland. You will perform angiographic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures and manage patients before, during, and after procedures.

Responsibilities include administering contrast media, assisting in catheter and device placement, and maintaining equipment and records. A limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for this role.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology (2 years)
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization
• ARRT certification or registration
• Radiology Technologist license in Maryland
• ACLS certification or eligibility

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast media into coronary arteries during cardiac catheterization as directed by a Cardiologist.
• Assists physician with manipulation and placement of guide wires and catheters; acts as first assistant.
• Maintains inventory of interventional supplies and enters patient data into RIS/hospital systems.
• Performs hemodynamic monitoring and documentation of procedures; ensures high-quality imaging.
• Pre- and post-procedural duties including patient education, discharge instructions, and transportation.
