Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have AMA-approved Radiologic Technology education (2+ years).
• 2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology.
• Experience in interventional radiology/cardiac catheterization.
• ARRT certification or registration.
• Maryland Radiology Technologist license.
• ACLS certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Administers contrast media into coronary arteries during cardiac catheterization as directed by a Cardiologist.
• Assists in manipulation and placement of guide wires and catheters; acts as first assistant to physician.
• Maintains interventional and cardiac supplies, and manages patient records and department check sheets.
• Performs hemodynamic monitoring, recording cardiovascular procedure data, and conducts electrophysiology/ablation procedures.
• Pre- and post-procedural duties including patient education, transport, and discharge instructions; operates imaging systems.
