Job summary

ALS is seeking a General Chemistry (Wet Chemistry) Analyst to perform routine to moderately complex analyses in a high-throughput environmental lab. You will work with titration, gravimetric, and colorimetric techniques, operating UV-Vis spectrophotometers and other lab instruments while following SOPs and safety protocols.

You will manage sample workloads, ensure data integrity, and adhere to QA/QC requirements to support environmental compliance and monitoring programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 1–3 years hands-on wet chemistry in environmental lab.
• Experience with EPA/Standard Method procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemistry analyses using EPA/Standard Methods.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation (UV-Vis, balances, pH meters, ovens).
• Manage assigned sample workloads to meet turnaround times.
• Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready workspace.
• Ensure QA/QC including blanks, LCS, and calibration verifications.
