Job summary

ALS is seeking a General Chemistry (Wet Chemistry) Analyst to perform routine to moderately complex analyses in a high‑throughput environmental lab. You’ll work with titrations, gravimetric techniques, colorimetry, and spectrophotometry, following EPA and client protocols.

You will operate UV‑Vis spectrophotometers, balances, pH meters, and autotitrators, maintain calibration, and prepare reagents and QC samples. A bachelor’s degree in chemistry and 1–3 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• 1–3 years’ hands‑on wet chemistry in environmental lab preferred.
• Experience with EPA/Standard Methods a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemistry analyses per EPA/Standard Methods and client protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (UV‑Vis, balances, pH meters, etc.).
• Prepare reagents, calibrations, and QC samples; ensure data integrity.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and comply with SOPs and safety.
