Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Sterling Heights, MI seeks an Electronics/Environmental Test Lab technician to support testing armored vehicle electronics and subsystems in lab and off-site facilities. You will set up instrumentation, record data with various DAQ systems, and collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate test results.

Requires an associate degree in electronics or a related field and 3–5 years of electro-mechanical testing experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or related field is required or equivalent.
• 3–5 years electro-mechanical and environmental testing background preferred.
• Familiarity with data acquisition, instrumentation, and calibration is desirable.
• Knowledge of CAD tools and MS Office applications is helpful.
• Must meet Anthropometric Size Requirements (ASR) and be able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Environmental Test Lab and GDLS with internal and external customers.
• Assist engineers to acquire test equipment and setup instrumentation.
• Configure and install sensors and transducers for testing.
• Record and provide test data to engineers for documentation.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; perform routine repairs as needed.
