Intertek's Environmental Technician Intern position in Miami/South Florida offers hands-on exposure to environmental and industrial hygiene consulting. You will assist with field surveys, ESAs, and subsurface investigations, traveling up to 75% to site locations.

The role includes supporting data collection, installation of monitoring equipment, and documenting site conditions, with a 40-hour work week and potential overtime depending on workload.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science / Biology / Other Science-Related Degrees.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable driving record required.
• Travel: Up to 75% of the time.
• Physical requirements to lift 30–50 pounds frequently and outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Responsabilités

• Assist with asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold surveys.
• Support Phase I ESAs and Phase II subsurface investigations.
• Support remedial site activities and field data collection.
• Install and maintain environmental monitoring equipment.
• Collect GPS and GIS field data using Trimble units.
• Document field activities and site conditions.
• Assist with equipment setup and calibration.
