Job summary

Intertek in Miami is seeking Environmental Technician Interns to join the PSI team. You will assist with asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold surveys, abatement monitoring, and clearance sampling, while supporting Phase I ESAs, Phase II subsurface investigations, and remedial site activities.

This role requires travel up to 75% and may involve overtime. Candidates should be pursuing an environmental science/biology degree and have a valid driver’s license, good communication skills, and the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or other science-related field.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.
• Physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs frequently and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Asbestos/Lead-Based Paint/Mold surveys.
• Assist with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
• Assist with Phase II/Subsurface investigations.
• Assist with Remedial Action Site activities.
• Install and maintain environmental monitoring equipment.
• Collect GPS and GIS field data using Trimble units.
• Document field activities and site conditions.
• Set up and calibrate equipment.
