Job summary

RJN Group Inc. is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our team in Irving, TX. You will assist with field inspection services in sanitary and storm sewers and other underground infrastructure under the Field Manager's direction.

You will conduct manhole inspections, smoke testing, and dye water flooding, perform confined space entry daily, install and maintain flow meters, and help keep equipment and vehicles in safe, productive condition. Travel and overtime are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Mechanical skills - use of hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency with smartphones and tablets (iPads, etc.).
• Physical and cognitive abilities to perform confined space entry.
• Ability to read and interpret sewer and road maps.

Responsibilities

• Conduction of field inspection services such as manhole inspection, smoke testing, and dye water flooding.
• Perform confined space entry work in manholes on a daily basis.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of flow meters.
• Assist with maintaining and cleaning equipment and vehicles to ensure work can be performed in a safe and productive manner.
• Interact with clients and general public in a professional manner.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures contained in the RJN Group, Inc. Safety Manual and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Travel and work overtime as required.
