Job summary

RJN Group, an employee-owned engineering and field services firm, is seeking an Environmental Technician to support field inspection services in sanitary and storm sewers and other underground infrastructure. Under the Field Manager, you will assist with inspections and equipment maintenance.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and physical ability to perform confined space work. You will interact with clients and may travel or work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Mechanical skills—use of hand and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency with smartphones and tablets (iPads, etc.).
• Physical and cognitive ability for confined space work.
• Ability to read and interpret sewer and road maps.

Responsibilities

• Conduction of field inspection services such as manhole inspection, smoke testing, and dye water flooding.
• Perform confined space entry work in manholes on a daily basis
• Assist with installation and maintenance of flow meters
• Assist with maintaining and cleaning equipment and vehicles to ensure work can be performed safely and productively
• Interact with clients and general public in a professional manner
• Adhere to all Safety Manual and SOPs
• Travel and work overtime as required.
