Job summary

RJN Group, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Technician to join our employee-owned team in Virginia.

Under the direction of the Field Manager, you will assist with field inspection services in sanitary sewers, storm sewers, and other underground infrastructure. You will conduct manhole inspections, smoke testing, and dye water flooding, perform confined space entry daily, and support with flow meters, equipment, and vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Mechanical skills to use hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills
• Proficiency with smartphones and tablets
• Ability to read and interpret sewer and road maps
• Ability to perform confined space entry

Responsibilities

• Conduction of field inspection services such as manhole inspection, smoke testing, and dye water flooding
• Perform confined space entry work in manholes daily
• Assist with installation and maintenance of flow meters
• Maintain and clean equipment and vehicles to ensure safe, productive operations
• Interact with clients and the public professionally
• Adhere to RJN Group Safety Manual and SOPs
• Travel and work overtime as required
