Job summary

The City of Montgomery is seeking an Engineering Technician III to perform technical engineering work in the field and office, focusing on environmental groundwater and stormwater sampling.

Responsibilities include monitoring groundwater wells and permanent stormwater sites, inspecting erosion and sediment control measures, and preparing reports on groundwater, stormwater, methane gas, and discharges. The position may supervise two or more full-time employees.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus five years of environmental groundwater or stormwater sampling experience.
• A BA in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or closely related field may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Qualifying education and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
