Job summary

City of Montgomery seeks a technician engineer to inspect construction of new development and public works projects, supervise one employee, review site plans, and conduct on-site inspections. The role reports to the City Engineer.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of engineering experience; qualifying education, training and experience will be considered to meet the requisite knowledge and abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or a GED and at least five (5) years of engineering experience to include reviewing construction site plans and the inspection of construction sites.
• Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.

Responsibilities

• The responsibilities include supervising one employee, reviewing construction site plans, and making on-site inspections of developers' sites and other engineering structures; coordinating with consultants and design engineers; and assisting citizens with complaints.
