Job summary

UPMC Jameson is seeking a Part-Time Environmental Services Associate to join our Environmental Services Team in New Castle, PA. This role supports hospital standards for patients and staff with a 2:30PM–11:00PM shift, including rotating weekends and holidays.

A team-centered environment ensures safety and cleanliness in all patient and public areas. You will perform bed-making, area cleaning, supplies replenishment, waste removal, and equipment maintenance following established procedures,

Responsibilities

• Make beds following established cleaning procedures in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
• Access to areas where medications, syringes or sharps may be stored is necessary and permitted in order to perform routine tasks as delineated in the employee's job description.
