Job summary

UPMC Jameson is seeking a Part-Time Environmental Services Associate to join our Environmental Services Team in New Castle, PA. This role supports hospital standards for patients and staff with a 2:30PM–11:00PM shift, including rotating weekends and holidays.

A team-centered environment ensures safety and cleanliness in all patient and public areas. You will perform bed-making, area cleaning, supplies replenishment, waste removal, and equipment maintenance following established procedures,

Responsibilities

Make beds following established cleaning procedures in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.
Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas to assure adequate supply.
Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices and equipment, following established procedures.
Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
Remove trash from all assigned areas.
Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
Move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets, etc. as assigned.
Access to areas where medications, syringes or sharps may be stored is necessary and permitted in order to perform routine tasks as delineated in the employee's job description.
