Job summary

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to join our team. This is an 8hr/wk day shift position, 6:30am-3:00pm, with weekend & holiday rotation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all aspects of assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, offices, and equipment, to meet hospital and department standards. This role is crucial in promoting the quality of care rendered in the environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to complete housekeeping duties.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
• 18 years old preferred

Responsibilities

• Make beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect and ensure areas are clean and in good repair; report problems to supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations.
• Clean all assigned areas including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition; report problems.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes; wash walls and spot carpets as assigned.

This role is crucial in promoting the quality of care rendered in the environment. Responsibilities also include moving equipment, furniture, boxes, and handling blinds and curtains. Responsibilities

May in the course of duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed.
