Qualifications

• Experience cleaning patient rooms and public areas to hospital standards.
• Able to move equipment, furniture, boxes, blinds and curtains.
• Follow written and verbal instructions; operate housekeeping equipment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect areas for cleanliness and report issues to supervisor.
• Replenish towels, toilet paper, and soap to ensure supplies.
• Clean patient rooms, public areas, toilets, offices and equipment per procedures.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report problems to supervisor.
• Remove trash from assigned areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, boxes; wash walls and spot carpets as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to complete duties.

UPMC Williamsport is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to join our team. This is a part‑time position, working 2 days a week from 5pm-1:30am, 1 day a week from 5pm-9pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all aspects of assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, offices, and equipment, to meet hospital and department standards. This role is crucial in promoting the quality of care rendered in the environment. Responsibilities also include moving equipment, furniture, boxes, and handling blinds and curtains.

• Make beds, following established cleaning procedures in all patient discharge rooms and on‑call rooms as assigned.
• Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, report problems to the supervisor.

• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment, following established procedures.

• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete housekeeping duties.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
